You all know what a Bucket List is, maybe even some of you have them. I do not have one of my own, but with recent health news on the Caddy front, I believe his bucket list would look something like this:
- Long walks everyday, rain, snow or shine.
- Play ball in the backyard with Bella until we are both ready to go indoors.
- Play in a pool of water.
- Run free in my backyard, without a leash or a collar, just because I can.
- Extra hugs and kisses. Daily.
- Take a ride in the car without a destination, just so I can stick my head out the window.
- Experience a "pup cup" from Starbucks, because my friend Gracie says they are rather yummy.
- Sleep on "my bed"--also known as the master bed--all day, without interruption.
- Celebrate my 7th Birthday this March with a doggie cake.
- Go for a walk on a nature trail so I can take in all the smells of the wild unknown.
Looks like #2 and #4 are already in the works, as we are having our fence completed, just for Caddy, sometime in the next week.
And while you may think I am insane for creating a Bucket List for my dog, then so be it. We are trying to make the most of what time it is we do have left with him, and I have found it is easier to focus on the positive day to day, rather then the end result.
