This explains A LOT!

No we have not fallen off the blog radar, but we have begun a new stage in Bella's babyhood: TEETHING! I have been saying for weeks she was teething, because of this endless pull of drool she has pouring out of her mouth, but we began to question it this past weekend when she begun tugging at her ears so furiously, and she even ran a low grade fever, we thought maybe she was getting an ear infection.

This resulted in her first visit to the "sick side" of the doctor's office. You can imagine this overly concerned mommy sheltering her from all the other kids in the office and cleaning my hands with gel after touching anything and everything in the waiting room. What a champion she was as the doctor looked in her ears and she sat on mommy's lap. Bella even waited patiently while they cleaned her ears with a mighty long q-tip. But after all the examining, we discovered that she had perfect ears, and no ear infection in site.

This past week Bella has been a trooper. Since she is not yet 4 months old, we cannot use any of the things like teething tablets or Baby Orajel to ease her pain, which means we have had to improvise. Tylenol and extra cuddles at night and frozen pacifiers during the day have helped her make it through her first week, as her eye teeth, both top and bottom, move a bit closer to the surface. While the teeth have yet to break the surface I do not doubt we will be seeing atleast one in the next week or so.

This would explain why most of the pictures I have taken in the past two weeks have invloved Bella with her fingers in her mouth in some way or another.

Oh she is so cute!! Hope those teeth don't continue to give her trouble. I know it's sad to see your baby hurting! But that toothy smile will be worth it!

Oh how I HATE the sick side of the pediatrician's office! And a tiny baby is like a magnet to all of the kids in that room. Ugh, it's annoying! Hope those teeth come through quick, Miss Bella!
