So on Tuesday of this past week, the unexpected happened as I headed to pick up our little B. As I exited and waited at the light on the off ramp of the Bardstown Rd. exit, someone slammed into the back of my sitting car. Stunned doesn't even define how I felt, but blessed was all I could think of in the end. When speaking with the other driver, it turns out she was reaching back to move a laundry basket that had toppled over in her car. How many times have we all had a moment just like this one?
While I have this lovely hole in my fender to show for following the accident, I am thankful Bella was NOT in the car with me. No, I was not injured, but an hour on the median of a busy highway exit would not have been on the top of my lists of fun activities for a baby/soon-to-be toddler. My car is fixable, and the other person's insurance will cover it.
