Chatter Box

These days, Bella has A LOT to say.  It is amazing how our little girl can expand her vocabulary soooo quickly. In the two weeks since her birthday she has become a sponge, repeating words, and saying new ones regularly. Her daddy hasn't had the privilage of hearing all of them though, and is still a bit of a skeptic she can say each one.  However, he also recognizes that I spend much of my days deciphering the speech of some of my students, so I have a bit more experience transelating then he does.  And thankfully, I have the grandmas as my witness and as her teachers in expanding her vocabulary.

Here is the LONG list of words she knows, which I am listing for my memory's sake as well.  It still continues to amaze even me as it seems she adds a new word every day!

"Bana" for Banana
considering we eat this everyday for breakfast

"Picher" for Picture
thanks to the picture banner hanging in our living room still

"Pukin" for Pumpkin
her favorite fall decoration inside and out

"Mamma"
her favorite cuddle bug

"Daddy"
her best play buddy

"Mickey"
Mickey Mouse Playhouse, of course

"Minnie"
And who can forget her?

"Fower" for Flower
she loves to smell them

"Boo" for Book
part of her nightly routine

Dink" for Drink

"Ca-ey" for Caddy
Her newsonce of a brother

"See" and "ook" for Look
always with her magic pointing finger

"Up"
This one is multipurpose, when she wants up or anything else for that matter

Pu-ee" for Puppy
Caddy is a puppy in her eyes

"Wee"
nothing else says fun like this word

"Peas" for Please
manners are highly important

"Me" or "Mi" for Mine
she and her brother need to work on sharing manners

Shakes her head for no
unfortunately this habit is unbreakable

"I di-it"
I believe this to be "I did/do it," but this only just started

Now, please note that our little girl also continues to have a mind of her own.  So while I have heard her say every last one of these words, she rarely does it on demand or when you want to show someone how smart she is.  So while I am spending the next 5 days trying to capture a few of these words, the chances seem slim I will be able to get her to perform verbally for the camera.

I love it! It's so funny that our little ones are right on track with each other! Can't wait to hear their first conversation! Happy Thanksgiving too!
