These days life is busy, and you are constantly on the go and learning lots of new things. Here is what you are up to lately:
"What's That?" I believe it is possible we answer this question at least 100 times a day. Literally. It has even gotten to the point that you will make your own sounds, usually a dog or a horse sound, just so you can then ask "what's that?"
Horses. Just in time for the Derby I suppose, you have developed a new love of horses. You are great at imitating the "naaaaay" sound and are sure to point out all the "hoisee" that you see. You love rocking on your rocking horse, even "feeding" him special treats on occasion. We have some live horses down the street so mommy's goal is to get you down there to them so you can see the real thing up close and personal.
"Boons." You really love balloons lately, and your book choices at night now revolve around whether or not there is a balloon in the book. So your current favorite reads include, "Hippos Go Berserk," and "Happy Birthday Pookie," both of which feature balloons. Other favorite books right now are "Curious George goes to the Animal Shelter," "Peekaboo Baby" and "Peter Rabbit Touch and Feel."
Outside. You LOVE being outside, and when the whether is good, that is where we are. Typically you have your ball in hand, and if not you are picking flowers aka dandelions from the front yard. At least we will have a few less weeds this year. =)
Toy Story. While I am pretty sure you have not watched this movie the whole way through, you LOVE Toy Story and all of its characters, especially "Essie" or Woody's cowgirl pal Jessie. You love making your toys "fy high" and you can identify every single one of the characters. I don't know what it is, but you sure do love them.
Food. Nowadays you are pickier than ever when it comes to food, and I didn't even know that was possible. It seems like you live off of goldfish and cheese. Grapes still remain to be your favorite, and pineapple ranks at a close second. And eggs are still your favorite breakfast treat.
Clean up. You have gotten really good at cleaning up after yourself. These days you dump blocks on the floor, just so you can pick them up. While this is a trait you did not inherit from your mommy, or daddy, we are thankful you have a bit of tidiness hiding in you.
"No, no, no." You are a headstrong little being, and similar to your mom and dad, know exactly what you want to do and when you want to do it. Unfortunately, mom and dad don't always agree with you and your timing when it comes to following directions. You have learned to use the word "no" with confidence, and you have earned the nick name Drama for a good reason. The fact that you are seeking out independence at such a young age, means this mommy has got to work on her own patience in the matter if I am going to survive the next 17 years.
I know I say it time and time again, but we are forever reminded of what a blessing you are in our lives! You are an amazing little girl and I love watching you change and grow right before our eyes.
