Have you ever noticed...

Have you ever noticed there are some little girls destined to be mommies?  A friend and I were talking about this idea a few days ago and Bella and I had an unforgettable encounter at the playground.

Now, mind you, we were really at the ballpark with the plan to watch Daddy and his friends play their first game.  But after 10 minutes of climbing the bleachers and spotting my child for any potential back flips she planned to attempt, we decided the playground might be the safer place for the night.

There were lots of "big" kids playing, and because of this, I was climbing the equipment right alongside my child in an effort to guard her from any rough housing kids.  And as fun as as this was, this mommy can only climb, slide and swing so much after a long day at work, where we spent at least an hour at the park already.  Thankfully there were some very helpful little girls there from my school.

 What sweethearts they were!

Maddie especially loved Bella, and well, Bella adored her, though this was the only time they have ever met.  Maddie wanted to hold Bella, and Bella didn't mind one bit!  Maddie helped her slide down the big twisty slide, talked to her and helped her climb all over the playground equipment.  It cracked me up too when Maddie said, "She is just like an American Girl Doll!" Ha!  Too funny, still!

After talking more to Maddie, I learned she had no younger siblings, which honestly surprised me considering how well she handled Bella.  For such a tiny little girl, she had no problem tossing my 25lb-ish baby on her hip and lugging her around the park!  And her joy while doing it, ah, she is destined to be a mommy, no doubt.  And in the mean time, I told her she was welcome to help me out with Bella whenever she liked.  And honestly, I think Bella was sad to see her go too, because when Maddie handed her back to me, Bella reached for Maddie!  Who'd have thought?!

We had a great time playing that night, but sadly we missed Daddy's big play for the team.  Note to self, next time bring lollipops or something to keep Miss Bella entertained long enough to see daddy hit some balls.  We are looking forward to the games ahead of us, and more fun on the playground this summer season.
