We LOVE the zoo!

After a week of listening to Bella say, "Go see 'em?" whenever she saw a polar bear or lion, I decided it was time her and I made a trip to the zoo together.  And since Grammy hasn't been able to watch her little grandchild because of her recent surgery, we invited her too.

I know you think how many times can you go to the zoo, but honestly the Louisville Zoo is a great place, and each time we go something new is going on or we discover something new.  Which is why we have a zoo pass.  And today was no exception.

Bella was dressed for the occasion.
Check out that Ariel necklace.  I know your jealous. =)

Because we woke up bright and early, we were able to catch the seal and sea lion during the morning breakfast show.  If you can make it work, 10:30 is showtime, and it was well worth it!

The sea lion was very spunky!
Even before the trainers came out, he was flipping around and splashing the audience.

This is the seal, he was super cute and flexible.

Bella loved sitting and watching, and because she was so tiny, she could also go right up to the fence to watch without blocking the view of others.

We were also able to feed the giraffes which I personally thought was AMAZING!
And from Bella's reaction, so did she!

The two giraffes we met were the smaller of the group, one had just turned 1 y.o. and the other's first birthday was not far away.

How often do you get to be up close and personal with these long necked guys?!

And Bella did quite enjoy talking to the elephants too.

Could it be with have an animal whisperer on our hands?! =)

What a great trip we had to the zoo.
Even the cold weather didn't keep us from having fun.
