After Bella's nap Drew's parents returned, as well as his sister and her husband James. We were able to open some more gifts, eat a great meal, but most importantly celebrate Jesus' birthday!
This year we made cupcakes, and its a good thing, because last year Bella and I made it all before her nap, but this time around, I didn't remember to bake the cake until last minute--so cupcakes were much more possible.
While we make the cake, we talked about why the cake is read--because of the blood shed when Jesus' died for our sins.
And then why we have white icing--because of the purity of baby Jesus.
We had a great time baking, mixing, and were glad to have some great helpers. Hopefully next year I can remember before her nap so we can get more family involved.
Bella was super excited about the end result when they were pulled from the oven.
Finally we sang a round of Happy Birthday, to our dear Jesus, and enjoyed the yummy cupcakes together as a family.
What a fantastic Christmas we had. Christmas Eve. Christmas Day. Every bit of it, was filled with blessings, family and reminders of our Lord and Savior.
