Popsicles and Paint

Have I mentioned how wonderful it is to have your best friend live steps from your house?  LITERALLY!  

We have been so blessed that our dear friends Anthony and Jessie live just around the corner, and have since they have been married.  In fact, this is our second neighborhood to make it happen--and no, we aren't crazy.

With kids it has been even better, because while Bella is about a year or more older than Chance, it isn't uncommon for us to go on an impromptu walk with our circus aka two dogs and three kids, or plan a play date and a snack.  And Chance loves both Bella and Aubrey, and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual when it comes to Aubrey and Bella lovin' Chance.

So THIS summer, way back when, we invited them down to enjoy yummy homemade popsicles and some sidewalk paint fun.

These two had a blast!  And despite the fact that the popsicles were a little mushy--didn't freeze quite long enough--and the two big kids were covered from head to toe in sidewalk paint, it was definitely a memorable day.  And one that made us thankful for our friends both little and big.
