Happy Mother's Day

I am so excited about Mother's Day this year, for the shear reason that my perspective in the matter has changed. But also, it is going to open up a new world of gift-giving for my own mother and mother-in-law. The world of shopping for grandmothers! Below is a book I happen to come across at Barnes and Noble. And after quickly falling in love with it, decided Drew and I would give each of our mom's a copy of this book for Mother's Day.

It is made like an organized scrapbook, where the grandmother has the chance to record memories of their own childhood, marriage, family tree and history by answering questions and adding pictures. And when the time is right, it will be returned to the grandchild, to share the memories with him or her. This is the perfect gift for any grandmother or grandmother-to-be out there. I am even considering giving one to my own mammaw, so she has the chance to record the memories and stories she so much enjoys sharing. And then I will have a keepsake of my own grandmother for years to come!

Happy Mother's Day to the many moms I know! I hope you have a day filled with reminders of how blessed you are, and how blessed your children are to have you in their lives.
