7 Months!

So about two weeks ago now, Bella turned 7 months old!  To believe 7 months has already gone by is crazy, but we are here and she is growing too fast!  These are some of the things she is doing nowadays...

Bella's vocabulary is expanding by the minute...she now says, mama, dada, baba (I think this is her version of bye bye), mm,mm, mm (when she is eating) on top of her regular squeals and giggles.  Though she says none of these things on demand and often times says each one at a whisper like she is trying to perfect the word before she speaks it loudly.  

Bella used her first sign, milk, though I do not think she knows what it means.  She uses this sign for everything--pick me up, hold me, more, milk, food, twinkle twinkle little star...  So we have a bit of learning to do yet. 

Bella has really improved in her fine motor skills.  In recent days she has begun to actually get a few puffs and other small gerber finger foods in her mouth, much to Caddy's dismay.

In recent weeks she has also taken a big interest in books, taking time to really examine the cover, and tap at words and objects.  I am very grateful that she will finally sit down and read, a short, book with me.  

And now she actually loves being on her belly too.  She has managed to figure out her to scoot and roll herself about anywhere, giving her no reason to learn to crawl at this time.  Which is fine by me, because I am not quite ready to baby proof from top to bottom.
