Books, books, and more books

This mommy/teacher couldn't be happier that our little girl ADORES books!  I remember in the early months when I would sit her in her bouncy seat and read and read book after book to her.  Well now she is taking charge.  And while my dad always said when I was a kid, "books are not toys," (this was his justification for buying me SO MANY) I think Bella has definitely found the playful side to reading.

This basket sits along side the chair in her room and contains the various books I am currently reading to her, or books that are appropriate for her age right now.  

Bella LOVES sifting through the books, opening and closing them, and even gnawing on a few.

Each day she pics a favorite book, and usually keep this book nearby for most of it.  

Playing on the floor?  The book is at her side or in her hand.  

Walking in the walker?  Propped up behind the steering wheel.  While I do advocate a love of reading, I hope she will keep this hobby in the passenger seat as she gets older. =)

And books just wouldn't be fun if she couldn't use her feet!
