11 Months Old

These days Bella is acting more like a toddler and less like a baby.  And with less than one month from her 1st birthday, can you believe it, she is not far from stepping over into the toddler days.  Sniff, sniff.

With 8 teeth all the way through and 3 more poking through the skin, this child has had her ups and down with eating, though that is the only impact so many teeth have made.  Thankfully here lately, she has fallen in love with food again, and she continues to have a love for...pasta, bread and fruit.  We have managed to sneak in some veggies covered with cheese or other sauces, but all in all, I think she has a bit more of her daddy in her then many of you thought.  None the less, she is a good eater, and as we are working slowly to transition into regular milk, which will probably result in her eating even more solid foods in the days to come.

This little one is still on the verge of walking.  She is cruising around furniture, holding on to one finger while she walks around the room, even pushing her poosh toys with one hand...  But still nothing has motivated her enough to take that step without something to grasp onto.  Yet.  We know that day is soon to come.

Bella's little monkey blanket is now attached to her hip.  This lovie has been her sleepmate for sometime, but now she demands he eat breakfast in the chair with her, she cuddles with him before bedtime, and he is the perfect companion when reading a book.  I made the mistake of brining him in the bathroom one evening, and the child literally climbed out of the tub to get him so he could join her.  But that is where I drew the line, no monkeys in the tub at our house.  I know, I'm such a mean mom. =)

Bella is babbling more and more and more each day, and I know when she does talk, it will be in sentences no doubt.  She goes through phases, and right now her favorite word is "mamma."  Which I can't say I mind one bit.  I have caught her talking to "her babies" in books and sharing secrets and kisses with her stuffed animals.  This child is as social as they come, and I can only imagine the stories we will hear from her teacher once she heads off to preschool.

All in all, she is a doll and a half, and we are so blessed to have this happy baby as our own.
