Our sweet pup Caddy, who is 6 years old mind you, had surgery this past Friday to have a tumor removed from his right hind leg. A tumor, after a small biopsy was determined as a mast cell tumor, a common cancer among dogs, therefore we decided it best to have it removed. After waiting over the weekend and two more days, we found out that it was a Stage 2 cancer, but because it was completely removed, he has a favorable prognosis. Thank you God for taking care of our "first child" and Bella's favorite four legged friend.
Please keep him in your prayers over the next week though, because he is stuck in this collar for another 5 days! And with my return to work after being off over the weekend with him, he has become rather anxious and is getting sick every morning and every night. We are hoping this issue is just anxiety related, and once the collar and stitches are removed it will all be back to normal. I'll keep you posted!
