This gift appeared in our fireplace on the evening of December 1st. We had suspicions of who it might be from, but wouldn't know for sure until we opened it.
Turns out it was a package specifically addressed to Bella, from SANTA!
We all knew it had to be a very special item if he made such a special trip to deliver it to her before Christmas.
Turns out, Bella got her very own elf! a Scout Elf to be exact, that will keep an eye on her for Santa through the month of December.
We read the book as a family after Bella got over the fact we could not take her out of the box. You had the big responsibility of choosing a one of a kind name for your elf, and I think you definitely stepped up to the challenge. Cocoa Wacka. Daddy and I tried to help you choose a few others, but that one stuck.
Then we watched the Elf on the Shelf movie, which was as cute as can be. Bella loved dancing to the music, and I think it made it all much more real for her.
And Cocoa Wacka, well she has already been causing a bit of mischief.
We are excited to have her in our home, to add to many of our new Christmas traditions this year.
