Art Sparks at the Speed Museum

We finally ventured out to the Speed Museum on Friday recently, to check out their kid devoted floor and exhibits called Art Sparks.  I had heard some great things about it from some friends, so we were eager to see what all it had to offer.

Bella LOVED building with all the cool and funky blocks there.

She also really enjoyed making her own personal work of art in the art room.

This projector reminded me of the good ol' days before smart boards, laptops, and iPads in the classroom.  And Bella loved playing with it and moving the objects around to turn the correct or incorrect way on the screen.

But her favorite part of the whole museum was what she called, the dark room.

This room was awesome, because you stood infront of the big screen with the projector shining on you, and any and al lmovements you made, were reflected onto this screen in cool and fun new ways.  She ran back to this room about a thousand times.

All in all, it was a fun outting, especially since it was trying something new.  They also had a pirate ship she could climb on, a house she could play pretend in, equiped with food, dress up clothes, a wood burning stove, and so fourth.  There was LOTS to do, and I suspect we will be returning again soon.
