Stroller Woes

Finding the right double stroller has been exhausting!  Well, not really exhausting, but has taken way more effort than finding a single stroller for Bella 4 years ago.

I originally purchased the Baby Trend Sit and Stand, because I loved the concept that Bella could stand, and hop off if need be because she is a bit wishy washy about strollers these days.  Plus I was able to find one at a consignment sale for a great price!  However, my love for this stroller quickly changed when I had to add my children into it, including Aubrey in her 35 lb carseat!

The Baby Trend was great for flat ground outtings, like the mall, but when it came to my first zoo trip, and pushing up that BIG HILL at the end… and then our long walks with Caddy where Bella literally fell out of the stroller twice going up yet another hill...I quickly developed a passionate hate relationship with that stroller.  And after looking at stores for a replacement, I became rather frustrated that the other options out there were $300 plus without accessories like a lap tray, shades, etc.

So I decided to go out on a limb, and make a purchase even though I couldn't test out the stroller--since I had never seen one in person.  I invested in a InStep, a nice jogging double stroller that cost only $135 thanks to Walmart and their free shipping policy on items over $100.

This stroller turned out to be the perfect choice for our long neighborhood walks with Caddy and our trips to the zoo.  We even managed to lug it out to the mall, and while the aisle ways were a bit tight, we made it work.  I am glad I trusted my instinct, and the reviews of many via amazon and walmart.  This stroller moves easily up and down hills, and while it is wider than the other I previously owned, that doesn't effect one's ability to navigate it, not even for a minute.  This is a perfect stroller for us right now, and when Bella eventually is over the stroller riding, we will likely sell this one for a single version.  I wish I had purchased a jogging stroller with Bella, because even my Chicco was a bit of a bust when it came to neighborhood walks.
