A Pushy Little Girl

While we dream a lot about our little girl, what she will look like and who she will become, all of it is just that...dreaming. There are no guarantees who's personality traits or good looks she will get =), but there is one thing I am sure of. She knows exactly what it takes to get your attention.

Today was the first time I was actually able to see my belly bounce because of her persistent kicking and punching. And of course, I couldn't take my eyes off it! It isn't very often that your belly moves on its own, but I have come to learn that is something I must expect, during this pregnancy. To think she can make this much of an impact at her still fragile weight of a pound and no longer than a ruler?! I can only imagine what is to come as she gains pounds and inches over the next few months.

However, our little girl still tap, pushes, and moves on her own terms, meaning she has no problem sharing her every movement with me--even in the middle of the night, or when she hears the sound of her daddy's deep voice, but dare anyone touch my belly, and she disappears into the abyss.
