Quotable moment from my students

This has been a crazy past two weeks starting back to school.  Exhaustion doesn't even BEGIN to describe how I have felt when I come home, especially this past week since I had a meeting every morning before school at 8am, and every morning after school--except Friday Thank goodness.

So I realize, I need to do some post catch up, and it will happen, but until then here is some commentary from my students, that I only wish I had recorded--

J: Do you know what the baby is Mrs. Mac?
Me: No, not yet.  But we will find out in October.
J: I want you to have a little girl.
D: Well I want you to have a little boy.  And he will grow up and play basketball.  And if it is a girl, she will do girl things, but I want you to have a boy.
J: I have a girl brain in my head, (she says as she emphatically points to her head) SO I know what girls do!  And I know what she will do…She will grow up, and move to another state! (interesting perception of girls, I think)
C: I think he'll be on COPS. (Yes, the tv show)

And with that last comment I redirected my lovely group of kids, and we headed back to their classes.  Oh, the laughter I find in my students!
