Big Sister Celebration and Lil Sis Reveal

Because our appointment was late in the day on Monday, considering we didn't get home till 6pm when it was all said and done, we waited until Tuesday to share our news with Bella.  We also waited because this mommy had a few things up her sleeve to make it a special day for this future big sister…

Like these cupcakes from Gigi's!  OMG!  These were the yummiest ever!   And the pink filling on the inside was the perfect way to share our news with B.

And of course, it wouldn't be a party without a present or two.

We had a special pizza dinner, I know we are super fancy in our household, but that is Bella's favorite so it only made sense.  Following we enjoyed our yummy cupcakes--with the special surprise.  We obviously knew it was a little girl before she bit in, but she did not.  And it is possible the fact that she ate the WHOLE cupcake could be why she was so nutty following the news, but this child was elated! And still is--I have never met a little girl more excited to be a big sister, especially now that she is guaranteed a little girl.

We followed the cupcake and sugar high, by opening her gifts up in our bedroom.  She LOVED her big sister book, even took it to bed for the evening with her book light on as we kissed her goodnight.

And below is her outfit I literally searched all of Louisville for--you would think a big sis shirt would not be so hard to find.  The minnie onesie was actually a first gift for the lil' sis from Grammy, but I threw it in Bella's gift bag last minute, and it was a sure fire hit that evening as she took care of Minnie just like she plans to take care of her lil sister when she arrives.

The next day Bella was so proud to tell her friends and teachers at school her exciting news, and she proudly wore her big sister tee in honor of her big day.

Now our only hope and prayer is this enthusiasm will stick when baby girl #2 arrives…guess only time will tell.
