This pregnancy has breezed by, and to think I am at my 7th month, with only 12 weeks to go, is both exciting and a bit crazy to me. Of course at this point, I am very aware of the baby growing in my belly, and rarely a minute passes without me thinking of her or clutching my belly to "hold" her. I am no longer in a state where others wonder if I am pregnant, because from the looks of my belly, it is a pretty sure thing.
It is funny to think where I started, both physically and emotionally, and to think how far I have come. When I first found out I was pregnant, perfection was my key--I had to do everything by the book and needed to know all the "Do's and Don'ts" of Pregnancy. Now, I have been able to hand it, little by little, over to God, because I quickly learned in those first three months, He is the one with all the control and He will be the one that makes our baby perfect--perfect in HIS EYES.
I have been SO BLESSED throughout this pregnancy, and am so grateful that I continue to feel good even after returning to work following my two month summer break. I don't know what's in store ahead for the next 12 weeks, or the labor and delivery following, but I do know that God will continue to bless us, and guide me through it all.
The most recent doctor's visit was a great one! We had the chance to see our baby for a follow up ultrasound, and my has she grown! Isabella is now 2lbs 9 oz, and she is already turned head down, getting ready for her big debut in 10 weeks or so. The doctor said she looks healthy, and the tech commented on how much she was moving. She turned to the camera a few times, and showed us what a big girl she is by finding her mouth and putting her fingers in it. At this point she is in the 30th percentile for length (based on her head size and femur length), which sounds like she may be taking after her mother afterall. Only time will tell!
