Today concludes the second day of my professional development classes, where I literally sit in a chair for six hours a day. And while that takes very little energy, and is a mindless effort, I was exhausted when I got home. Keeping in mind this exhaustion, I still thought it appropriate to vacuum the upstairs rooms and walk Caddy--leaving me now stationed in bed, with my feet propped up on a pillow. However, my husband, the most loving man I know, is so committed to me and this baby, that he massaged my sore toes and aching feet. This sincere act of kindness on his part, is only a small reflection of how much he has tried to take care of me throughout the pregnancy--and only a small dose of how I expect he will care for our daughter. And it seems, as my belly gets bigger, he has become even more concerned with my aching back and tired body.
So I learned two lessons from today: I have the greatest husband in the world AND I have really got to learn to pace myself more for the sake of this baby than anything else.
