Universal Studios, Day 1 and Day 2

We began our trip with a two day affair with Universal Studios.  We are definitely Disney lovers, but we couldn't help but take a turn at Universal, especially with the new addition of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, considering what big fans Drew and I are.

When Bella woke up on this day, we told her she was going to the "park." Yes, the parks she knew up until this moment involved swings and slides, but it was enough to get her excited and dressed for the day.

Once she entered Universal, her idea of a "park" was definitely changed forever!
She loved be-bopping to the loud music when you entered and taking in all the sights.

There was plenty of pointing going on throughout the trip, but this day especially, since it was all so new.

We spent 2 hours of this first day waiting in line for a ride that ended up breaking down…more on that later.  But Bella enjoyed her "waiting" time regardless and Daddy helped keep her cool thanks to some fan and water sprays through out.

Bella was super excited to see the Caro-seuss-al in Seuss Land.  While she wasn't riding nay-nays these quirky characters were just as fun!

Then we happened to catch story time in Seussland, which Bella and I personally LOVED!  The whole family, Sarah, James, Grandmom and Grandad, and Drew sat to listen to "Oh the Places You Will Go."

I personally thought this story teller was a perfect version for Seuss Land.

Afterwards Bella met The Cat in the Hat.  And while we have not actually begun reading a ton of Dr. Seuss yet, Bella loved this BIG kitty, regardless.

The second day Drew and I enjoyed some time away from the group as a mini-anniversary celebration.  Once joining back up, we had a special surprise for Bella.

Then B got to enjoy a little playtime in the many water areas they had around the park.

If you look closely you see her tiny little Ariel swimming along in the water.

We had a great time at Universal, a perfect start to a fabulous vacation!
