Ok, so I am a bit of a Harry Potter nut, and yes I have dragged Drew in with me since the very first movie was released. The books have been read over and over, and couldn't help but be excited about visiting Universal Studios for this reason alone. We wanted to sip on some Butter Beer and Pumpkin Juice, while walking the streets of Hogsmeade. For those of you that are Harry Fan too, here are some highlights from our trip.

And the best part of it all was this special moment on our anniversary. Anyone who has read the books, or seen the movies knows that seen where Harry Potter gets his first wand from Olivander's Wand Shop. Well, here in the Wizarding World at Universal, you wait in a long line, we waited 50 minutes (which was the shortest time the two days we were there thanks to a quick rain shower), and then they let in about 25 people at a time to witness a skit very similar to that in the movie.
Well out of those 25 or so people, I was the chosen one! The one from the audience who got to test out the wands, perform the magic tricks, and in the end, have a wand selected by Olivander himself. Picture me in the shoes of Harry Potter himself. AMAZING!
I know, I'll admit I'm a dork, but I can't help but still be excited about it.
Sadly, I was so amazed, I didn't even think to turn around and smile for the camera. So here is the best shot we got of the moment.
