B-O-Y-S

Bella is pretty fearless, and pretty much loves everyone she meets.  Until recently.  These days, Bella has thing for boys.  And I don't mean in an "I LOVE YOU" kind of way.  A few weeks at her new school, a little boy who shall be known as H, attended her class on her days, instead of his typical Tues/Thurs.  Well apparently, he was "sca-ey" to her, and she made that known right away to the teachers.  So much so, they sent a note home with her at the end of the day--telling me that H was a sweet little boy, wouldn't hurt a fly but Bella was very sure she did not like him, "I no like him," were her exact words!  Whether or not this boy is a saint, he sure appeared to be, was beyond me, but either way, he made an impression on our Bella.

Since then, outings with little boys she doesn't know well go like this:

Bella: He not sit.  He not going to sit down here Mommy.
Alisha:  Bella he is going to sit down.  He is a friend.
Bella: NO!  He not sit here.  He not going to stay.
Alisha:  He is a friend Bella.  He is ok.  He is nice.
Bella:  I want to go home.  Please take me home mommy.
Alisha: Remember when you met him…  You guys had a lot of fun.
Bella: He not sit here.

Usually, she warms up to the little boy after a little encouragement, and turns back into her old self unless it is H from her school. But either way, it is definitely a 180 from the little girl in early September who only played with the little boys in her parent day out class.

I suppose though, we should enjoy it while it last, because I suspect it will be much different come teenage years.
