Resolution…if you want to call it that.

Time to take a break from Bella blogging to let you know the plan for the new year at our household.  We have managed to live in a state of clutter for much of our married life, taking a real active effort in cleaning when guests came by. When Bella arrived, that clutter intensified.  For obvious reasons.  And it seemed the older she has gotten the more difficult it has been to maintain.  And for this mom, who has never ever claimed to be a neat freak by any stretch of the word, possibly quite the opposite, I felt like I was drowning in maintaining and up-keeping our house.

So here we are mid January, and I can finally admit that a resolution has been made, and maintained, actually since before Christmas.  Drew was the start of it, thanks to his surprise efforts while we were in Maryland.  Remember?  Where he cleaned the entire house from top to bottom.  And organized another good chunk of it.  It was just the start I needed to set my plan for maintaining in motion.

The second efforts was creating a schedule.  I am not naturally a cleaner, and never have been, so this I thought was going to be the hardest part, because I had no clue where to start or how to organize it.  But then, thanks to dear old Pinterest, I came across this wonderfully perfect schedule.

Thanks to the above schedule, and the blog that is linked to it, I have found a way to maintain my house.  No, it is not perfect, but it has definitely exceeded anything it was before.  I officially started this schedule in January, and with a little tweaking have been able to maintain it and my household.  And for the days when I can't do the extra, I am still learning to let go of the fact that IT IS OK.  And hopefully in the next month or so, I can get started in the deep cleaning section of this schedule.
