Aubrey Madison, 4 months

Our little Aubrey has made it to the 4 month mark, the time is just ticking away and you truly are growing into such a sweet baby girl, and developing a personality all your own!

These days you go to bed at 7pm and wake up twice in the night, sometimes more.  I have drawn many conclusions about the cause, and tried a bizillion different things to help you make it more than 4 hours in between feedings, but you are just a hungry growing girl!  The good news is, you go to sleep on your own at bedtime and nap time which is pretty amazing, at least I think so.

You love rocking back and forth when on your back, and have managed to role from tummy to back a handful of times, though those all seem to have happened by accident because you haven't managed to repeat the act two times in a row yet.  You love just chillin' on your side though and taking in all the surroundings and playing with your toys.

You are trying SO HARD to sit up, and this picture at the top of this post is a perfect example.  I couldn't scoot back far enough to get the whole chair in the pic, because you would lean forward every time I tried. You are trying pretty hard to be like that big sister of yours.  Good thing we have your bumbo, it gives you lots of good, safe practice time.

You love "talking" still, and the older you get the more I think you might give that sister of yours a run for her money when you can have a true conversation with each other.  You make lots of sounds, but currently you have begun blowing raspberries, saying b-b-b-b-b-b-b over and over, and voicing "hi" and "mamma" on several occasions (daddy wasn't too happy you said mommy first).

You have begun to take a real interest in your toys, love batting at them and pulling on them.  You have also taken a real interest in Caddy these days, turning toward him and trying to grab him.  Thankfully he doesn't mind and seems to love you as much as he does your sister. Books are a big interest for you too, especially ones that have mirrors or babies in them.

I wish I could better put into words what a perfect fit you are in our family.  Your laid back nature is the perfect addition our family needed, and we are so blessed to have such a happy, content baby!
