It takes a village...

I never have taken the time to really express my gratitude for the people in Bella's life who take care of her while Drew and I are at work, day in, and day out.  But today has been an expectional day one which has made me very thankful.

My mom hasn't been feeling 100%, so Sarah, Drew's sister, had the chance to watch Bella today.  However, she lives off Preston Hwy, which is nowhere near my place of work.  So my mom was willing enough to come and meet me at our regular spot (across from Southeast Christian) and transport Bella to Sarah so I could still get to work at my usual 7:30am time.  This afternoon, I had planned to drive out to Sarah to pick her up, since Drew has golf league on Tuesdays and I had a scheduled faculty meeting expected to last an hour after school.  But instead, my mother-in-law, Sheri, has offered to pick up Bella while on her way home from work, so when I get out of my meeting, Bella will be just down the street in Douglass Hills, so I don't have to deal with the hassle of traffic as I arrive at home later than my normal time.

We are SO BLESSED to have such wonderful care givers for Bella.  Not a day goes by when I am not thankful for the fact that I can hand Bella off each morning knowing she is loved and in good hands. How much easier it is to do my job on a daily basis, knowing I don't have to worry about the care of my little girl.  Not everyone has grandparents who are able or willing to take on such a big responsibility, so THANK YOU to Bella's grandparents who are more than willing to help love and teach their granddaughter all she needs when she is in their hands.  And when it turns out that one of them just can't do it, we have so many other great people, like Sarah and James, who are willing to drop their plans in a heartbeat just to watch our little girl for the day.

We are so thankful for our "village" of family and friends, and all you do to help our little baby grow into the little girl God is pushing her to be.  And those members who we have yet to take the offer of on babysitting needs, no worries, your time will come soon enough. =)
