Mother's Day

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day whether you are a mother or spent time with your own mother.  My day was filled with wonderful blessings, so much so I can't quite name each one.  But here were a few highlights:

Drew and Bella gave me a wonderful Mother's Day present.  A Pandora Charm Bracelet to help me remember my first Mother's Day and many other important events to come.  I was a little concerned that someone may not understand the magnitude of this day for me, but he did an amazing job!  Much more than I expected or could have asked for.  He always goes above and beyond, so I don't know why I was so worried.  These below are not mine, I have 4 wonderful charms for now, but many more to come in future years I am sure.

Church was perfect!  Bella fell fast asleep in her daddy's arm making it much easier for me to concentrate and learn from the sermon on patience.  My patience is typically tested every time we go to church, because I am usually waiting on pins and needles for my little girl to squeal out or blow a raspberry in the middle of church.  Neither of us had to leave to distract our little girl, so that was a gift in itself!

Following church we enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Oxmoor Country Club, with my parents, Drew's parents, and his sister Sarah, and her husband James.  Well, and of course, Bella.  It was so wonderful to have this special family time together.  Thank you mom and dad for the great mother-child necklace and thank you Sheri and Doug for the LullaBible to share with Bella and especially the handprint/footprint project you made with Bella's help.

On top of it all, Bella was a jewel from the moment she woke up to the moment she went to bed.  Now I DO like to brag that my little girl is a pretty happy lady majority of the time, but this day I totally anticipated something to go wrong, and as a mom, I've learned that is OK.  But in the end, everything was perfect.  Honest and truly, I wouldn't have changed a thing!  And being able to enjoy my little girl in such a happy, loving mood, made it that much better.  I am SO BLESSED to be a mother.  And even more blessed to be a mother of such a sweet baby girl!  How did I get so lucky?

Thank you God for an amazing first Mother's Day!
