What's in a name?

Oh how we have endured the question every time we tell someone our little girl's name... "Did you name her after Bella in Twilight?"  Our answer is no!  We named her Isabella because we LOVE the name, and honestly when we chose it, Twilight wasn't even on the radar.  At least not in movie form.  Yes, we call her Bella, because we also LOVE nicknames, and yes that is the character's name in the book, but that is where it ends.

I'll admit though, every time I read or watch the Twilight series, I can't help but think of my little girl, and it does make me smile a bit when others say the same thing as they read through the now hit series.  Well, either way, Twilight related or not, she is likely to have five other Isabella's in her kindergarten classroom thanks to the fame of the Twilight series, and this article's findings:

I never expected Isabella to be a rare name, but I didn't quite expect it to be #1 on the baby names list.  So what!  Either way, it is the perfect name for our little girl, and we don't doubt it for a minute.
